As of March 1, 2026, the total value of retail deposits (including sole traders) in Ukrainian banks reached UAH 1 651.7 billion, which is UAH 38.1 billion higher compared to the similar indicator of the previous month.
Of the total amount of deposits as of March 1, 2026:
- deposits in national currency – UAH 1083.0 billion (+ UAH 25.2 billion for February, 2026);
- deposits in foreign currency – UAH 568.0 billion (+ UAH 12.9 billion for February, 2026).
The share of sole traders in the structure of depositors as of March 1, 2026, accounted for 3.2 % of deposits and 11.2% of the deposit value. The total amount of their deposits amounted to UAH 184.7 billion. It is important to note, that deposits of sole traders are covered by the DGF.

Recall that starting from April 13, 2022, the date when the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine on Ensuring the Stability of the Household Deposit Guarantee System” entered into force, 100% guarantees apply to the deposits of individuals (including sole traders), during the martial law in Ukraine and for three months after its cancellation or termination. After the expiration of three months from the date of cancellation or termination of the martial law, the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation for depositors in Ukrainian banks shall not be less than UAH 600 thousand. All banks of Ukraine are members of the DGF. As of March 1, 2026, there are 60 banks in the DGF register.
