As of November 1, 2023 the total amount of deposits of individuals (including sole proprietors) in Ukrainian banks amounted to UAH 1 142.6 billion. Since the beginning of the year it has increased by more than UAH 91 billion.
From the total amount of deposits of individuals at the beginning of November:
- the deposits in national currency – 733.2 billiard hryvnias:
- the deposits in foreign currency – 409.4 billiard hryvnias.
The share of sole proprietors in the structure of depositors as of November 1, 2023 was 3,2%, and the amount of their deposits – UAH132.9 billion hryvnias (11,6% of the total amount of deposits).
It should be mentioned that deposits of sole proprietors are subject to DGF guarantees since January 1, 2017.
Please note, that starting from April 13, 2022 the date of entry into force of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amendments to Certain Laws of Ukraine Regarding Ensuring the Stability of the Household Deposit Guarantee Scheme’, during the period of martial law and 3 months after - cancellation or termination of its validity deposits of individuals (including sole proprietors) are covered by 100% guarantees DGF covers term deposits and funds in current accounts of individuals. After the completion of 3 months period from the date of cancellation or termination of martial law the maximum amount of guaranteed compensation will be UAH 600 thousand.
For reference. All the banks of Ukraine are the members of the Deposit Guarantee Fund. As of November 1, 2023 there were 63 banks in DGF register.
