In November, 2025, the Deposit Guarantee Fund (hereinafter – the DGF) paid out UAH 31 million of the guaranteed reimbursement to the depositors of failed banks. Depositors of JSC “RwS BANK”, which was classified as insolvent on the 4th of November, received the largest amount - UAH 29.6 million.
In total, since its establishment the DGF paid out UAH 105.0 billion to the depositors of the failed banks. Over 96% of the depositors already received the guaranteed compensation.
The DGF pays out guaranteed reimbursement to the depositors from its own funds. As of November 30, 2025, financial resources of the DGF amounted to UAH 50 billion.
Note that NBU classified JSC “RwS BANK” as insolvent on November 4, 2025. On November 5, 2025, the provisional administration was introduced in JSC “RwS BANK” and on November 24, 2025 the DGF started paying out the guaranteed reimbursement to the depositors under bank account agreements (current accounts) with expiration date until November 4, 2025.
Recall, that starting from April 13, 2022, during martial law in Ukraine and for three months after its cancellation 100% guarantees apply to the term deposits as well as funds in current accounts of individuals and sole traders.
